Ahmad Taha Ghani is a prospect who is all set to make it big. His debut film, Yalghaar (for those who don’t know) is a Pakistani war-epic film written, directed and produced by Hassan Waqas Rana.
“Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been very passionate about acting and I knew Doc [Hassan Waqas Rana] because we come from an extended family but not personally, so he took my proper audition and that’s how I got the role,” says Ahmad on being approached for the film.
It’s always been his desire to work in the industry, to be able to use the cinematic platform to make a difference in this country. “Dr. Rana asked me if I was serious about acting and I said I am, this happened back in 2013,” he continued, declaring his passion the craft.

Ahmad feels like he can relate to the character he played since he is interested in animatronics and specially felt the need to know more about fighter jets in specific. “My passion for rotatory machinery got me interested in playing this role as well,” says Ahmad who will be seen playing an aviator in the film.
The budding star’s character in the film added comic relief to the otherwise action packed film. Ahmad says that his role of Captain Asif is a “happy, energetic, young man who wants to prove a point to the world that he can carry his own weight.”
“I didn’t annoy the directors and producers that much and I didn’t take a shot more than 3 times, I’ve been blessed that way,” he says. Working alongside an ensemble star cast comprising of Shaan Shahid, Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Ayesha Omar, Bilal Ashraf and more, Ahmad felt his costars were accommodative, “I only have a few scenes with Shaan, but he was very helpful and gave me great advice like where I should turn towards the lighting for etc.”

Ahmad says that his basic aim in entering this fraternity is to act as a positive catalyst in the society. “This medium suits my needs and gives me a chance to bring about positive change in the society and portray a better image of my country the way I want it to be,” a patriotic-Ghani stated.
Apart from a budding actor, Ahmad runs his family business as well. “You only have one life to live and I feel like sleeping is for the weak,” says the actor on his time management and also that his fiancé Foha has been very supportive of him.
Currently, the actor is only interested in doing films and doesn’t wish to turn to television. “I believe in quality and not quantity,” claims Ghani. “I’ve co-directed a short film right now and I can’t say much about it but it will be complete in a few months,” he added on his upcoming projects. We hope to see more from this rising talent and wish him all the luck for Yalghaar and his future endeavors.
